This is the typical installation method for Metal Letters. 3/16"diameter studs come out the back of each letter. Letters are drilled / tapped in the backs to receive threaded studs. An installation pattern will be required to ensure proper stud placement, showing you where to drill holes. Letters are drilled in the backs to recieve threaded studs. Also referred to as blind stud mount.

Stud Mount with Spacers
Pre-cut spacers are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface on the stud. Specify by the amount of standoff required. Follows the same method as the flush stud mount. An installation pattern will be required to ensure proper stud placement. |
Projected Jamb Nut Mount
Stainless steel jamb nuts are inserted between the letter and the mounting surface on the studs. This method is the same as flush stud mount, but some space remains between the surface and the letter. |
Corrugated Nut Mount
The corrugated nut installation method is used when you have access to the rear of the wall, washers and nuts are used on both sides of the corrugated surface of the wall, on the studs. |
Double Rail Installation
Two rows of 1/4"thick x 3/4" high aluminum bar is secured to back of each letter with stainless steel screws. Bar comes standard with baked enamel paint finish. Only available on letters 4" to 24" high. The entire rail can then be attached to the surface. Extra shipping charges may apply due to rail. |
Bottom Rail / Bottom Stud Installation
For the bottom rail installation method, letters are drilled and tapped from the bottom with stainless steel studs going through aluminum tubing. Tube is standard with black baked enamel paint finish. Available on letters 4" to 24"high and 3/8" or thicker only. $20.00 per letter. Ships unassembled. Extra shipping charges may apply due to rail. For the bottom stud installation method, letters are drilled and tapped from the bottom. You would provide your own bar or channel for mounting. Letters with round bottoms (i.e. O,S,G etc.) will have a flattened base to receive studs. Exterior applications greater than 6" letters require tiebacks to hold against wind. |
